Day-to-day responsibilities involve supporting WHO’s communication strategies by creating and disseminating public information materials, drafting press releases, managing social media accounts, and building media relationships. You’ll also be responsible for photography, video editing, and preparing updates and newsletters that help showcase WHO’s work and impact to a broad audience. Strong knowledge in photography, video editing tools, and graphic design is required, ensuring all outputs meet high standards and strengthen WHO’s reputation.
Your Daily Responsibilities
As a Communications Officer, you’ll identify topics of public interest to develop media strategies and engaging content. You’ll manage both internal and external communication channels, including websites and social media. Regular duties include tracking media coverage and maintaining relationships with journalists to ensure WHO’s work is well-represented. In addition, you’ll create photo stories and assist in organising interviews for visibility campaigns.
Your focus will be on delivering timely, high-quality outputs that showcase health initiatives, collaborate with partner organisations, and contribute to the successful communication of WHO’s goals.
